Trip to Germany - July 2017

Trip to Germany - July 2017 In July 2017 Paul and I took a trip to Germany with other members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Oak Park, IL.  We spent 10 days visiting sites where the reformer Martin Luther lived, studied, taught and preached.  Towns such as Wittenberg, Eisleben, Eisenach, Leipzig, Ehrfurt, Torgau, Weimer, and Berlin were all places we visited.  There were many highlights of this trip and we had a great time. We spent an extra couple of days in Berlin and were fortunate to meet Paul's cousin, Helmut, his wife Marianne and son Martin who gave us a tour of the town Paul's ancestors were from, Heilingensee.

Winter Snow Days

Image
A few snow pictures from our February snowfall - had almost 10 inches of snow.   School was cancelled on a Friday so I stayed home and Paul stayed home from work.  Nice to have a day just to relax and take it easy.  Paul spent the day going through letters we found at his mother's.  I read my book and did a few things around the house and did a little organizing.
